Wall & Void Treatment®
Why Baseboard Sprays Don't Work: Most pest companies do a good job of spraying, but they never really solve your problem. They spray your baseboards and cabinets with wet smelly chemicals and wait for the bugs come out of the walls to die. If that doesn't work, then they spray again. The resulting control may be enough for you not to see any bugs, but the nest and eggs are still there, resting and waiting for weeks, sometimes months until they emerge again. Research has proven that bugs live inside your walls and in dark hidden areas. Unless those areas are treated, your bug problem will never totally be solved. Here's How Our Wall and Void Treatment Works: Our technicians treat by removing wall switch plates, plumbing accesses, and finding other entry points that lead directly into your walls. We then treat those areas with specially formulated dusts and baits that bugs feed on or are exposed to and die. There's no need to drill any holes, and no need to spray messy smelly chemicals. Our Wall and Void Treatment is state of the art, and was developed exclusively by us. It's the absolute most effective treatment available, and it only needs to be done once a year. If bugs come back at any time during the year, we will too - totally free of charge. Every 90 days we'll return to treat the exterior of your home to keep bugs out. Our Wall and Void Treatment™ is simply the best pest treatment available. If you don't agree, we'll refund your money. It's that simple. |
Cockroaches
Cockroaches can't help the fact that to most humans, they are unwanted company. It's funny, though, how these pesky insects can often make a grown man or woman scream, tremble and run for cover faster than you can say, "Where's the bug spray?". But that's just the way it is. We've done a lot of investigative work, and if you want to get rid of roaches in your house, we can help. Here are some steps to cockroach control: Step 1: Cut down on their food supply * Vacuum or sweep the floor. * Wash dishes in soapy, hot water. * Keep trash in a tight-lidded container. * Store unused portions of chips, cereal, etc. * Clean crumbs from under appliances. Step 2: Make it hard for them to hide * Move woodpiles away from outside walls. * Take your recycling out promptly. Step 3: Dry Up Their Water Supply Like humans, roaches can go much longer without food than without water. To keep roaches away, keep them thirsty. * Fix dripping faucets. * Pour some Lysol into toilets at night to make the water undrinkable. * Don't over water house plants. Soggy soil is a delicious cockroach cocktail. Step Four: Keep Them Out! To prevent roaches from migrating from your neighbor's place to yours, seal up common roach entryways. * Fill holes where pipes disappear into walls with steel wool or caulk. * Pour a little Lysol down your drains nightly to discourage roaches from crawling up into your sinks. * Keep sink plugs over drains. Of course these are just a few steps that can be taken to help remedy your cockroach problems. There are professional alternatives that we use to get fast results with little or no smells, messes or stains. Call us today for a fast free estimate. |

Which Pesticides Are Safe
Better homes and gardens magazines once stated that the war on bugs shouldn't involve chemical warfare. The sad truth is that most pest control companies have for years, used the strongest materials available to them with little regard for the environment. Here's a short list: * Natural pyrethrins * Diatomaceous earth * Silica gels - Drione Dust * Boric acid - Borid, Roach Prufe * Avermectin bacterias - Avert * Citrus extracts - Linalool, Demize * Growth regulators - Precor, Archer * Insect Baits - Maxforce, Avert, Seige * EcoPCO products containing hexahydroxyl (tree oils) With most new research on pests being focused on "genetics" instead of more powerful chemicals, the future of pest control may very well be in our ability to control insects growth and reproduction patterns. For now, you can be sure that when Dallas/Fort Worth Pest Control performs your pest control, our process is scientifically engineered to reduce you and your family's exposure to pesticides. That's why we say that we have a "safer solution" for your pest problems. |

Silverfish
Silverfish Control Silverfish and Firebrats are common house invading pests. They are fast runners and are most active at night. They can go for a long period of time, sometimes over a year without food, but will readily feast on dried flour, dried meat, rolled oats, paper and even glue. Considered mostly a nuisance, they damage paper goods, stain cloth and contaminate food. Adults reach a length of about 3/4" inch. Silverfish are covered with fine scales which are silvery to brown in color; firebrats are considerably darker in color. They are usually brought into the home in foodstuffs, furniture, old books, and papers. Silverfish are considered by many pest control professionals to be mainly an attic pest since they prefer the dark and will readily feed on the paper backing of roll insulation. Control measures generally include a complete attic treatment. Control Clues: Indoors - Liquid sprays such as Demon WP or Flee. Dusts such as Borid or Drione in attic areas. Aerosol foggers seem to give limited control. Outdoors - Liquid broadcast spray such as Demon WP. Application Don'ts: Don't use foggers or bug bombs without a residual spray. |
